Naomi 31st March 2020

Nan was such a big part in all of our lives and was so so special to all of us. So many of us grandchildren got to share so many of the same lovely experiences with her growing up- I think we've all commented on her baking and climbing the apple tree! My personal favourite times with Nan have always been getting to go to see ballets and musicals in London. I still remember the first show we went to of the Nutcracker when I was 6 years old and I loved that it became such a tradition to meet Nan on the train and go for lunch and to the show. Then as I've got older to going to musicals with Nan, mum and Chris and having a proper girly day out with dinner. Nan always loved spoiling us and there was always the routine bicker of who would pay for my programme and lunch- which Nan always insisted on year after year- even when I got to the age of 20. I will always cherish how much time we got to spend with Nan, from Christmases to lunches in Sevenoaks looking round her favourite shops like Oliver Bonas, and even inviting me for a roast when I was home from uni and mum and dad were away. She was such a strong, admirable person and I will miss her so much, but she will be remembered in so many lovely ways by us all. xxx
